Who is this appropriate for?
Therapeutic music sessions are appropriate for recovering patients. These sessions may be on an individual basis, or for groups with special needs. Peter offers live music using voice, harp, or perhaps a choice from his exotic musical instrument collection. His presence is non-intrusive and his music has a gentleness, depth and calming influence that is unique.

Where can this music be played?
Peter has played in intensive care wards of hospitals, general wards, special care nurseries, maternity wards, birthing suites, oncology wards, pre and post operative situations, radio imaging departments, radiation and chemotherapy treatment areas. He plays for cancer support groups, anxiety disorder groups, mood swing groups, bereavement and grief and loss support groups, meditation sessions, and sometimes offers “pillow concerts” where the participants are invited to bring a sleeping bag and pillow in order to stretch out and receive his live music in a new way. Many participants experience a sense of peace and calmness that may not have been experienced before.

Outcomes of Therapeutic Music Sessions
As a result of Peter’s music, there have been recorded instances of patient’s blood-pressure dropping, breathing rates slowing and deepening, levels of oxygen in the blood raising markedly (ie 74 to 98 in one baby). People have experienced the lessening of fear and anxiety, a loss of restlessness and the regaining of deep sleep. Some have expressed their experience of the regaining of lost hope. People have also mentioned the deepening of a sense of self and an experience of the sacred.
