Threshold Music Services is the registered trading name of Peter and Jeanette Roberts (Registered 1996 - ABN 42756 367 824). With the support of his wife Jeanette, Peter Roberts has pioneered the field of Music-thanatology in Australia since then.

The name Threshold was chosen because 'a threshold' has been defined as 'a doorway'. This seems an appropriate analogy for the work Peter does in musically assisting patients safely through the various thresholds they encounter in dealing with their health.

Peter is contracted to both major health-care providers in Geelong Victoria, and is currently the recipient of several generous grants that enable him to offer his music 'at no cost' to palliative patients in Geelong and Melbourne. Apart from the therapeutic music Peter offers, he has been invited to speak at many conferences across Australia and overseas . His journey into this field and the work itself has been the subject of much media attention. The outcomes of his work in palliative care were published by Deakin University in an eight month long research project.
