Music has far more possibilities for use than sheer entertainment.
Have you found yourself moved deeply or even brought to tears by some types of music?

Have you found yourself becoming annoyed at someone’s choice of loud or inappropriate music?
Me too! It’s common to us all.
My name is Peter Roberts.
This is how I looked when I was younger and better looking…

I have always had 'the music’ as the Irish saying goes. This isn’t to say I was a gifted musician, but I sang unconsciously and freely as a young boy and I have somehow had a knack for playing all types of musical instruments.
Throughout my early adult years I became drawn to the sounds of exotic music and musical instruments from other cultures.
This led me to an awakening to the therapeutic benefits and healing effects of music; firstly through through other people's music and eventually to my own.

1n 1994 I turned a 21-year interest in these things into a full-time career in the healing arts. It was then that I made a vocational decision and mid-life career change to leave Australia to study music in palliative care overseas. My family and I lived in the USA for two and a half years while I attended a school based in a hospital in Montana.
I love this work still and am employed to offer my music in a specialised capacity within mainstream medical care settings. And therein lies a tale… and the focus of this website.
The effect of my music has now been extensively researched and evaluated and I have presented at conferences in many states of Australia, Malaysia and the United States.
My involvement in this field has gathered an increasing amount of media interest over the years and on this site you will find links to some of those articles and interviews etc.
