This is an exciting new instrument pre-set with a comforting sound that anyone can play successfully; children, the elderly, teachers, meditation leaders, therapists, patients in bed, people with disabilities. Its beautiful smooth “egg shaped” design is a pleasure to hold.
It can be played resting on the knees, placed on a table, held against the chest or while lying in bed. The unique tuning creates beautiful harmonies when two or more notes are chosen at random. It can be played with a single finger, or with two hands, one hand playing random chords while the other creates random melodies. It can be played singly by one person or two people can play the same instrument at the one time. Several of the instruments played together in a group will always harmonize. Does it sound too good to be true? Try it, it’s not. It works wonderfully!
The Reverie Harp was created originally from Peter’s concept for a stringed instrument for people with physical disabilities to play successfully. Research has revealed the Reverie to be an exciting development of the ancient psaltery. Peter now uses the Reverie Harp consistently in his hospital work as an adjunct to his larger floor model harp.
